Richard Marles, Australia’s Parliamentary Secretary for Pacific Island Affairs, handed over a new CTG foetal monitor to staff and patients at Vila Central Hospital maternity ward on Wednesday morning.

Mr Marles announced that the monitor would be followed in September by other new equipment, worth over 36 million vatu, including:
A 3D/4D  ultrasound machine
incubators
apnea monitors
paediatric infusion and syringe pumps
an obstetric delivery bed.
